While I love writing at home and in cafes, I also relish the opportunity to share my passion for storytelling with people.

I love connecting with readers and writers, especially during these challenging times. Whether it’s your book club, school (elementary to college), library, book festival, or conference, it would be my pleasure to share my writing journey and my collective work, which is all about belonging. So if your group wants encouragement about finding your voice, charting your way, working your dream, and creating community—let’s chat about booking a visit!

“The students can’t stop talking about your presentation! I had multiple teachers come up to me to comment on how engaging your photos, stories and messages were for our students, especially writing letters to affect change.”
–School Librarian

Calling all library systems and librarians! The world needs our best story—notably, yours and your library’s. My new workshop, LIBRARIES: OUT LOUD AND ON PURPOSE, is designed to help librarians articulate your worthy purpose and to connect powerfully with your constituents. The reviews for this workshop have been stellar! I would love to help you and your team re-energize and resonate so you can share the essential importance of your library and win the hearts of your constituents.

REVIEWS FOR LIBRARIES: OUT LOUD AND ON PURPOSE

–Washington Library Association

“This was, without question, the best possible way I could have experienced the end of WLA. Beautiful and moving.”
—Washington Library Association

“Your presentation was so beautiful and so vulnerable that many of the librarians who came up to me afterwards were in tears. It could not have been a more beautiful end to our day.”
—King County Library System

“Our time spent in identifying our purpose and articulating our vision for SPS libraries was invaluable. We now have a strong starting point for communicating our purpose with stakeholders in the district and Seattle community.”
